Overview
The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health (IAMH) Black Men’s Health Equity Council invites researchers, healthcare professionals, community leaders, and advocates to submit presentation proposals for its 2025 Black Men's Health Equity Conference. The conference theme, Prevention, Power, Progress: The Future of Black Men's Health, focuses on strategies and solutions to advance health equity for Black men through prevention, empowerment, and sustainable solutions.

Proposal Focus Areas
We welcome submissions on a range of topics, including but not limited to:

• Chronic Disease Prevention, Management, and Advocacy
• Climate Change and Environmental Health. Building a Healthier Planet for Black Communities
• Technology and Innovation in Black Men's Health
• The Future of Black Men’s Health
• Trauma, Suicide, and Depression in Black Men
• The Politics of Black Men’s Health
• The Impact of Infectious Diseases on the Future of Black Men's Health

Submission Deadline:  February 25, 2024. 

 

Proposals

Submit a 350-word proposal detailing the session description, the presentation focus, learning objectives, expected outcomes, and topic connection to the conference theme. All presentations must be 60 minutes long with the last 10-15 minutes reserved for questions and answers.

 

Proposals Must Include:

Anticipated Learner Outcomes/Learner Objectives

List the issues or topic(s) session will address

Connection of topic to the conference theme

AV requirements

Include the presenter(s) name(s), title(s), affiliation(s), brief bio(s),

email address, and telephone number

Preferred presentation format: (Panel/Roundtable discussion: A guided conversation with three or more panelists or Workshop presentation: Presentation by a solo presenter or co-presenters sharing best practices, forward-looking strategies, and resources).
